Mid-level Web Designer

    Skedo Tech is a web development and digital marketing firm looking for an experienced Mid-level Web Designer with strong knowledge and experience in writing in basic coding languages, like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to work in-house. They should also have knowledge of basic web architecture and design skills to collaborate with Graphic Designers more effectively and help them build a user-friendly website. We are looking for a self-starter who can solve problems and communicate within the marketing team. This is a very fast-paced environment and projects change day to day. We are searching for talent, not someone just looking for a paycheck. Mid-level Web Designer will report to the Sr. Web Designer under the supervision of the Marketing Creative Director.

  • Job Responsibility

    • The Mid-level Web Designer will work closely with other Mid-level Web Designers to execute client requests and be under the supervision of the Sr. Web Designer. Responsibilities include as follows.
    • Prepare a weekly report for Creative Director on Website(s) performance and list areas of improvement needed.
    • Prepare and present strategic plans for website optimization
    • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions with Creative Director.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively with Jr Web Designers.
    • Design and develop web pages, email blasts, and digital banners for all business initiatives.
    • Execute top-quality design work as necessary in alignment with brand standards.
    • Review and analyze the company websites for areas that can be improved and optimized
    • Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability.
    • Analyze keywords and SEO techniques used by competitors.
    • Prepare weekly analytic reports for website performance Support ongoing website content/design updates through our Content Management Systems.
    • Work with different Content Management Systems.
    • Conceptualize creative ideas with marketing team – Be creative
    • Work with teams to execute digital initiatives that meet and support company objectives.
    • Collaborate with marketing team members to generate effective solutions and receive feedback. 

  • Educational Requirement

    Formal education is not required

  • Experience Requirement

    • Adobe Photoshop - Basic knowledge required.
    • Minimum 3 years of proven experience and published work samples.
    • Knowledge of prototyping with design tools.
    • Ability to learn and come up with new ideas is a MUST.
    • Ability to use a MAC is a MUST.
    • Bring new ideas to the table.

  • Additional Requirement

    • 3 years experience in web design & WordPress.
    • Exceptional design skills with a strong portfolio of creative work.
    • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS
    • Working knowledge of PHP, Python, or Ruby is a plus
    • CMS experience required; WordPress experience preferred.
    • Ability to learn and come up with new ideas.
    • Strong understanding of accessibility and usability standards.
    • Experience in developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
